1616 Oxmoor Road.

From Hwy 31 & Oxmoor Road drive west 0.7 miles. The Exceptional Foundation is on the right. The building is on the same parking lot as the Homewood Recreation Center.

From I-65S take the Oxmoor Road exit (256 B?) going east on Oxmoor Road for 1.6 miles. The Exceptional Foundation is on the left. The building is on the same parking lot as the Homewood Recreation Center.

The Exceptional Foundation has a large sign on the front of the building.

From Birmingham , at intersection of I-59 & I-65, take I-65 North to Exit 267, Walker Chapel Road exit. Turn right at end of exit onto Walker Chapel Road . Go 1/2 mile. Just before Whataburger Restaurant turn right onto Main Street . At stop sign turn left onto Old Walker Chapel Road. Go 1 block. BSDA Friendship Hall is on right. Park on street or go up driveway on left to parking at Library. Or go 100 feet down to Stouts Road , turn left and park in large parking lot of City Hall on left or Post Office on right. Short walk on sidewalk from parking lot thru grassy area to Friendship Hall. Other parking on Stouts Road. 7 miles from intersection of I-59 & I-65 to Friendship Hall.

Alternate Directions: Carraway Boulevard/Highway 31 north. From I-59, take Carraway Boulevard exit, Exit 126A. Go north on Carraway Boulevard, past Carraway Medical Center. Carraway Boulevard is also 26th Street North, Highway 31 North and Decatur Highway. Go about 6 miles to Walker Chapel Road. Turn left onto Walker Chapel Road. Hardee's Hamburgers is on corner. Go 100 feet and turn left onto Stouts Road at City Hall. Turn right onto Old Walker Chapel Road. Friendship Hall is first building on left. Or, take Carraway Boulevard exit from end of Red Mountain Expressway/Elton B. Stephens Expressway and continue north past Carraway Medical Center.

On I-59/I-20 going north (east) from Tuscaloosa, or from I-65 (after getting onto I-59/I-20 going north) (east):

Go past exit 129 (Bham Airport exit). Stay in right lane. Take I-20 exit 130 to Atlanta. Go past the first 1st Avenue North exit 130A on right. Take the second 1st Avenue North exit 130B on right. Both exits are just 50' and 100' after you leave I-59. (Very quick.) You will come onto 1st Avenue North at about 64th Street. Stay on 1st Avenue North and go about 4 blocks to 68th Street. Turn right and go 3 short blocks.

On I-59 going south (west) from Gadsden or Trussville:

Take 81st Street exit 132 on right. Go 13 blocks to 68th Street and 1st Avenue North. Turn left and go 3 short blocks.

Building is on an 18 acre place cattycorner at 68th Street South & 2nd Avenue South. Turn left on 2nd Avenue, and almost immediately turn right into their long driveway. Go to back entrance - at right side of building.

Another way is to get on 1st Avenue North and drive to 68th Street. Turn right if coming from downtown (from the west). Turn left if coming from Roebuck or Centerpoint (from the east).

On 280 Going Toward Downtown Birmingham - Take Hollywood exit just past Hamilton Inn and Wendys on right. Turn left onto Oxmoor Road. Go several miles. Go under I-65 Interstate, and thru 2 lights. Directions from I-65: Turn onto I-59/I-20 going east toward Airport. Get over into the right two lanes relatively soon. Pass 17th Street exit and take 22nd Street exit.

Go south about 11 blocks toward downtown to 1st Avenue North. Turn left on 1st Avenue North. Go 4 blocks and cross over Sloss Furnaces viaduct on 1st Avenue North.

Turn left onto 34th Street at first light after the viaduct, and then turn right into Club's entrance. Metal building.

From south of Birmingham: Take Red Mountain Expressway into town. Take 1st Avenue North exit. Turn right, cross over Sloss Furnaces viaduct. Turn left onto 34th Street at first light after viaduct, and turn right, into Club's entrance.

Park in Club's large parking lot, or on 34th Street by side of Club, or on street behind Club and storage facility. A guard patrols parking areas. Smoking not permitted anywhere in building. Bar has ice, snacks, cold drinks, juices, popcorn. You can bring wine or liquor.

From I-65, take exit 252 and turn onto Montgomery Highway (U.S. Highway 31 North) heading toward Birmingham and Vestavia Hills. Drive about 1 3/4 miles up the long hill. About 2/3 of the way up to the top of hill, you will see a white building on the left marked Vestavia Hills Civic Center. At Civic Center building, turn left at the traffic light onto Merryvale Road.

Continue to the 1st stop sign. Turn left. Lodge is the first building on the right. Turn right into Lodge parking lot. You can also park in the Civic Center parking lot but not on the street. Instead of turning into the Civic Center parking lot, continue to the 1st stop sign. Turn left. Lodge is the first building on the right. Turn right into Lodge parking lot. You can also park in the Vestavia Civic Center parking lot but not on street.

From Birmingham, take I-59 North toward Gadsden. Turn right at Highway 77 exit, Exit 181. Go 4 miles until highway becomes 4 lanes, and turn right onto Highway 411. This is a major intersection, with three service stations, and a small shopping center on the left, with Gregorson's Supermarket, just before the intersection. Go 1/4 mile to the building just past the 2-story curved Rainbow City City Hall on the left. At the Rainbow City Community Center/Library, turn left just past the building and park at the back or the front of the building.

From I-59/I-20: Take 22nd Street exit in downtown Birmingham and turn south onto 22nd Street (a 1-way street). Go one block and turn right onto 8th Avenue North. Drive 4 blocks and turn right onto 18th Street. Drive 3 blocks and turn right onto 11th Avenue North. Drive in front of the VFW and turn right into their fenced parking lot. Security guards on duty. Additional parking along 18th Street North. Enter through back door of the VFW off the parking lot.

Or: 18th Street North is 1-way going north. Pass under Interstate. 18th Street deadends into 11th Avenue North. VFW Post 668 is on the corner. Turn right on 11th Avenue and turn right into fenced parking lot. Use rear door entry. Ben McKinnon or Roland Day.

Take Highway 31 to Hoover. If driving south on Highway 31, go past Riverchase Galleria and turn right at Riverchase Parkway. If driving north on Highway 31, turn left at Riverchase Parkway. About a half mile down this residential road you will come to a stop sign. Go straight thru stop sign until you come to a red light. Go right at red light onto Old Highway 31 (Old Montgomery Highway). Baptist Church is on the corner as you turn onto this road. Riverchase United Methodist is the next church on the right. The first driveway is to the Office/Counseling center and Day School/Fellowship Hall.

Directions to Camp Branch, Saginaw

Take I65 South to Exit 238 (Alabaster/Saginaw). At the end of the off-ramp, turn left and go east on Hwy 31 for exactly 2.1 miles. This distance will bring you to an intersection with a gas station on the right as the primary landmark. At this intersection, turn left, and go just 50 yards and an old wooden schoolhouse will be on the left. The old schoolhouse has been converted into a dance hall and is where the dance is held.
